Otterbourne Football Club History

The football club was founded in 1962 as North End Old Boys, changing its name to Otterbourne in 1986, when the club moved to Oakwood Park. The club won the Southampton Premier League in the same year, gaining promotion to the Clubsaver Hampshire League. In 91/92 the club reached the final of the Hampshire Intermediate Cup. A unique achievement followed in the season 95/96 when the club won both the Southampton Senior Cup and the Trophyman League Cup. 96/97 saw defeat in the semi-final of the Southampton Senior Cup and despite a late run, the club was ‘pipped’ by one place for promotion to Hants Division 1. The researves consolidated their position in the Southampton Premier, an the “A” team achieved success. They both reached the semi-final of the Southampton Junior “A” Cup and were runners-up in Junior Division 3, gaining promotion for this season to Division 1.

Otterbourne joined the newly formed Hants Premier League in 2007 / 2008 and were runners up by 1 point, also getting to the semi finals of the Soton Senior cup & HPFL League cup .Reached the final of the Andover Cup but lost on penalties after extra time.

In 2009 / 10 Otterbourne 1st team won the Andover Cup and the 2nd team won the Hants Combination Cup.
